ICAP 2027

The Department of Archaeology and Museology at Masaryk University welcomes you to the 17th Conference on Archaeological Prospection ICAP2027. The conference will take place in Brno (Czech republic) from 6.–11. September, 2027.

Organized under the auspices of the International Society for Archaeological Prospection (ISAP), the conference brings together researchers and professionals to exchange knowledge and explore current trends in archaeological prospection. The event will highlight a wide range of methods employed for the detection, mapping, and investigation of buried archaeological remains and cultural heritage. Topics will include geophysical and remote-sensing methods, as well as more direct field-based approaches such as coring and trial excavations. In addition, attention will be given to the processing, analysis, visualization, and interpretation of geophysical data, reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of modern prospection research.
